Introduction

The Employee Social Club (ESC) was created through a special Hospital Charter as a non-profit organization, independently financed, wherein, such that the services provided by ESC will bear the related operational costs from their revenue in order to guarantee the continued functionality of them, and consequently, reduce the burden on the Hospital budget.

Expertise

The mission of ESC is to organize and operate social/recreational activities, and to provide various types of services and financial assistance to Hospital personnel and their eligible dependents, in order to enhance morale, improve quality of life, and to promote community involvement. This mission is achieved through the following four sections of ESC:

• Services Section: responsible for providing ESC loans, Cable TV Channels, and Internet Services at home. Organizing periodic exhibitions for purchasing of home appliances and electronic goods on credit basis, shaded parking, driver license insurance coverage, STC customer services, and supervising a number of 21 commercial outlets within the Hospital premises.

• Recreation Services Section: responsible for providing a broad array of sports and recreational activities such as: swimming, tennis, squash, basketball, soccer, volleyball, taekwondo, aerobics, body fitness, bowling, horse riding lessons, national trips inside and outside Riyadh City, Haj trips, Omra and Madina trips. It supervises a number of 44 recreational facilities at the Amenities Centre and Hospital Compounds.

• Accounts Section: carries out all the financial transactions related to the ESC services.

• Day Care Centre & Nursery: responsible for providing safe, reliable, and conscientious childcare for KFSH&RC employee’s children through its two facilities:
      1- Nursery Centre: ages 6 months to 3 years.
      2- Day Care Centre: ages 3 years to 6 years.
